I purchased and restored this 1978 Bayliner 2550 Saratoga Sun Bridge Cabin Cruiser over 10 years ago for our large family. Most of the work was done then, but we have maintained the boat meticulously since the original restoration and have recently updated the starter, alternator, engine cooling and primer water pumps. It is 25 ft. long, and has a 350 C.I. V8 engine with a single 4 barrel Holley double pumper carburetor, and Volvo Penta out drive. It was fitted with new auto/manual bilge pump, dual battery switches, cables battery boxes and cables, two batteries, one starting battery and one deep cycle battery for running radio, depth finder 12 volt cabin lighting, 12 volt power supply plug-in, along with deck and navigational lighting, insuring the starting battery is always fully charged. I installed new exhaust hoses and all engine water coolant passage hoses. New fuel fill hoses feeding twin poly 35 gallon fuel tanks, with total combined capacity of 70 gallons, (Enough to last you all weekend, and then some). New engine compartment vent hose and manually operated explosion proof ventilation fan. Removed out drive and inspected/serviced out drive tilt bushings, steering pivot bushings, and inspected drive shaft components. Installed new drive shaft boot and exhaust bellows. Rewired the entire wiring system on the boat replacing any questionable wiring and insuring trouble free operation. Most of the cabin interior is new or like new condition, Upper deck has been reupholstered or newly replaced when we restored the boat. All windshield glass was removed, glass frames sanded and painted matte black, and glass reinstalled with new seals. Storage areas under all the seats, cushions, one large closet and one small closet. New Oak instrument panel and complete set of red back-lit gauges. New stereo and stereo weather shield, new speakers. New Oak cabin steps, new cabin doors and door framework. Replaced all lower cabin flooring material and re-glassed floor. Replaced all flooring and lower half wall carpet, painted upper half of cabin area with multi-toned textured paint, and finished off with satin clear coat sealer. Dual power trim tabs, and power engine tilt with auto locking/unlocking mechanism. Dual ski or tube anchors, oak swim platform with new self collapsing extra long water boarding ladder. Collapsible sun canopy. Can sleep four to six people and has fold away dining table and seating. Removed the original kitchenette and water storage tank allowing for more storage and living space in lower cabin. Hummingbird depth/fish finder. Docking buoys, docking ropes, paddles, fire extinguishers, skis, ski rope, ski flags wakeboard, large tube, 12 volt tube air pump, safety floats, life jackets, etcetera. Great condition, runs and drives like a new boat. We are selling the boat as our family has grown and left home and we just don't use it enough to justify keeping it. Originally asking $8,000 dollars and free freight. I am lowering the price to $6,800 because I am changing the terms to local pick up or if freight is required, cost and freight logistics are the responsibility of the buyer.
